Delving into Pricing Strategies and Social Media Content Creation 

Siem Reap, Cambodia – On Wednesday, October 16, 2024, the Improved Competitiveness of National Enterprises (ICONE) program, implemented by GIZ, hosted a half-day workshop on Marketing Strategy and Social Media Marketing in Siem Reap City. The event brought together local businesses and industry experts to discuss effective marketing strategies and leverage the power of social media. The workshop delved into various pricing strategies, such as cost-based, market-based, and value-based pricing. Participants learned how to determine the selling price by adding a markup to the cost of production (cost-based), setting the price based on market conditions and competitor pricing (market-based), or establishing the price based on the perceived value of the product or service in the eyes of the customer (value-based). 

The workshop emphasized the importance of considering factors like target market, competition, product positioning, and cost structure when selecting the most suitable approach. By understanding these strategies, businesses can make informed decisions about their pricing and maximize profitability. 

In addition to pricing strategies, the workshop also provided valuable insights into effective social media content creation. Participants learned how to develop a content strategy that aligns with their overall marketing goals and target audience preferences. They also gained practical knowledge on creating high-quality content that is visually appealing and engaging.
