Hannah Pearson from ATTA discussed the potential for Siem Reap to offer unique and exciting adventure experiences to travellers, such as jungle adventures, trekking, biking, and birdwatching. She emphasised the importance of creating well-planned routes that cater to different levels of experience and interest to create unforgettable memories.
Marketing was another important topic of discussion at the summit. Hermann Woithe from Change Mastr emphasised the need to use the right marketing tools to reach the right audience, including social media, digital advertising, and business partnerships. He reiterated that if you market to everyone, you reach no one.
Sirada and Stefan from Roots Routes also highlighted the importance of storytelling and creating an emotional connection with customers, by showcasing the country’s rich cultural heritage, natural beauty, delicious food and unique experiences. The inclusion of sustainability was also stressed, as Claudia from the Foundation for Environmental Education addressed customers’ growing demand for a sustainable offer.
