GIZ ICONE Empowers Siem Reap Tour Operators with Stakeholder and Product Analysis Workshop
Siem Reap, Cambodia – GIZ ICONE, a leading development agency, recently hosted a half-day workshop on Stakeholder Analysis and Product and Portfolio Analysis in Siem Reap on Thursday, September 26, 2024. The workshop aimed to equip local tour operators with the essential tools and knowledge to enhance their competitiveness and sustainability in the tourism industry.
Held at the prestigious Elephant Hotel in Siem Reap, the workshop brought together a diverse group of stakeholders from the tourism sector, including tour operators, industry experts, and government representatives. Through interactive sessions and discussions, participants explored key aspects of stakeholder analysis, including stakeholder mapping, expectations and objectives, power and influence, commonality and conflict, and scenario planning.
Additionally, the workshop delved into product and portfolio analysis, covering topics such as portfolio analysis and product costs, product life cycle and competitive position, and the growth-share matrix for strategic planning. By understanding these concepts, tour operators can better assess their product offerings, identify growth opportunities, and make informed decisions about their business strategies.
